Rung for the 70th anniversary of VJ day and in memory of Rev Lord John Wrenbury of Dallington. John chanced to hear the Victory Peal of Stedman Caters rung by the Universities Association at Beccles on VJ Day 15th August 1945 and thought it "the most glorious sound I ever heard".It led him to investigate ringing in Cambridge and to join the CUG. Recounting

this shortly before his death in September 2014 John expressed a wish for a peal of Stedman Caters to be rung in his memory.
