Rung to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of VE Day. Earlier in the day, from 11.00am to 12.00 noon, the carillon at nearby St. Mary's RC Church, Lowe House, St. Helens, was played by the resident carillonneur, Anthony Brookes, who included songs of thanksgiving and popular WW2 tunes in honour of the occasion.
