Rung following the two minutes silence at 11 o’clock on Armistice Day. Remembering Charles E Faulkner, a ringer at Easton Neston, who was a soldier in WW1. He died in the Battle of Loos in September 1915 and is commemorated on a peal board in the ringing room. The composer also fought in this battle; he survived, wounded, only to die later in the ’flu pandemic of 1919.
