Rung with the bells half muffled by the local band on Remembrance Sunday in memory of all those who have lost their lives fighting for our Country in conflicts past and present, especially during the two World Wars. We will remember them.
Rung remembering the 18 men of this parish who lost their lives in the Great War, especially Second Lieutenant EDWARD CHARLES VULLIAMY BATTLE, 3rd Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment & Stoker First Class THOMAS ROBERT CLAYTON, H.M.S. “Good Hope”, Royal Navy, both of whom were killed during 1914 in the Great War.
When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us And Say, For Your Tomorrow, We Gave Our Today.
After the quarter the tenor was tolled 18 times in memory of the 18 men of this parish who lost their lives in the Great War.
