A compliment and "thank you" to Sarah Hughes, stepping down after 13 years as ringing master of St Mary's. The first record of a church on this site is of an ordination service conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Archbishop Winchelsea, during a tour of his province in 1302.
The tenor bell of the 1972 Taylor ring destroyed in the fire of 1973 weighed 13-0-2.
