First peal - 1. First peal in the method - 3. First peal away from the Treble - 5,7. Rung with the bells half muffled for Remembrance Day. In this peal, 4 towers were represented, viz Chelmsford Cathedral, Springfield, Writtle and Woodford. 2 of the ringers are ex-Service men, 3rd in the Navy and 6th in the Army.
