This date being the day appointed for the interment of his late Majesty George the Fourth. The Amateur Society of Change Ringers, Leeds, out of respect for their late Beloved Sovereign, ascended the Tower of the Parish Church, a little after Nine O'clock in the Evening, and rung, with Bells muffled. The peal was completed at 43 minutes past Midnight.
The Peal was composed for this occasion by Mr Hugh Wright, of Leeds, formerly of Nottingham, Author of 15,168 Treble Bob Major, Albion Surprise etc etc.
