This version of Carter Triples was devised by Mike Ovenden and features 5-pull dodges at the back. Peal compositions have several calls in a row so Mike felt that this would be boring to ring for a peal. Copilot suggested that the most boring city in England is Chelmsford, hence the name (Don't shoot the messenger!). However the band found it very interesting to ring, not least because the 4-5 up dodges are at the opposite stroke to the 6-7 up dodges!
