On the 80th anniversary of VJ Day.

In memory of Flying Officer Douglas Henry Loder, Service No: 165014, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, 62 Squadron, Died 23rd June 1945, aged 24, buried in Taukkyan War Cemetery, Myanmar (Burma). A ringer at St. Peters Burnley, Lancashire Association. Failed to return from an operational supply flight aboard a Douglas DC-3 Dakota KN445, all four crew perished.

Their name liveth for evermore.
