5040 Doubles (2m)
Consisting of 12 six-scores of Plain Bob, 10 six-scores of Grandsire with 3 as the plain hunt bell, and 20 six-scores with Treble as the plain hunt bell, called differently.
1 Frederick G Miller
2 Henry J Field
3 William Miller
4 George Penfold (C)
5 John H Bray
6 Frederick H Dallaway
First peal and first attempt: 1, 3, 6.
The below notes are from a peal record discovered in the tower in 2025:
The ringers 1-5 came from Pevensey and the tenor ringer was the tower captain at Westham.
First peal ever rung on the bells (recast 1921) and "as far as any record goes" there has only ever been one peal attempt at this tower, made by the Christ Church Eastbourne ringers c1903, which broke down after 3700 changes.
This peal included a first peal ringer on bells 1, 3 and 6.
