A footnote (BN 1897.0037) to a peal rung at Wood Green, Wednesbury on 1/5/1897 stating that the late Messrs. William Brittain, James Foster, H.Lawton, Joseph Lloyd, A.Malbourn, Henry Malbourn, Henry Spittle and Joseph Wood rang in the same peal is almost certainly erroneous.
