In thanksgiving for the life of Peter George William Newstead JP., Secretary of this tower and Vice President of the Association, who died on 12th December, aged 71, having been an Association member for 55 years. (Within the octave of the Patronal Festival and originally arranged as a 21 birthday compliment to Philip Larter (17th December).
