On Tuesday a Peal of upwards of 5300 Bob-Majors was rung at St. Ives in Huntingdonshire, by the Society of Cambridge Youths, in three Hours and 25 Minutes, being the greatest Length ever rung in that County. (Northampton Mercury, Mon. 27 May 1782; also Cambridge Chronicle and Journal, Sat. 11 May 1782).
