Specially arranged to wish Reverend Canon Andrew Dotchin our best wishes for his delayed retirement, having been given one last challenge for a further year in the area but away from Felixstowe! A man well used to challenges, having been ordained in South Africa, fought against apartheid and only came home in 2000, having cast his vote for the ANC. COVID saw his parish run a very successful food hub, "The Parish Pantry", still very much in evidence. His inclusivity is well known, the Rainbow Flag prominently displayed. He performed the first same sex blessing in the country of two of his associate priests. A man of the people, who enjoyed a pint and the only person we have known to leave us a box of chocolates for ringing a peal for him!
