Rung In Memory of the tenor ringer's father: David James Connearn (20-2-1922 to 15-4-2020)
Headmaster of St Mary Magdalen RC Primary School, Bexhill-on-Sea, 1959 -1983.
Played a fair amount of good golf which must have contributed more to his longevity than the years spent in Stalag Luft B which compromised it, and latterly he watched a lot of sport on TV.
Hale and of sound mind until the end, which caught all his family by surprise.
He is survived by his five children David, Paul, Patricia - who moved back home to care for him and their mother, his wife Patricia, now 91, Sarah and John.
With the blessing of The Incumbent and the Church authorities we are planning to do some more Commemoration ringing in subsequent weeks.
