Rung by the local band to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day and the Normandy Landings to Liberate Europe during World War Two.
Rung 8.30 – 9.00pm immediately prior to the Village Beacon Lighting Ceremony and then again immediately after the Beacon Lighting 9.15 – 9.30pm, at the request of the Parish Council.
Rung in memory of all those who took part in the invasion, those in the air, those on the land and those on the sea, from Britain, the Commonwealth and the Allies. Especially remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice and who did not return. We Will Remember Them!
Rung for Freedom, Liberty and Peace!
