Rung by the local band with the bells half muffled following the funeral of Peter Richard Reeve immediately after the committal & burial beneath the tower in the family graves.
Rung as the family and congregation left the graveside and walked from the Church through the grounds of Leadenham Hall to the reception in the Hall.
Peter lived at Leadenham Hall and died on 18th February 2024 aged 76. As one of his Manorial duties he was Patron of the Living of St Swithun’s Church. Leadenham Hall, which stand directly next door to the Church, was built between 1790 & 1796 by William Reeve and has been the seat of the Reeve’s family ever since.
