5472 Kent Treble Bob Caters
Macclesfield Courier and Herald, Saturday 9th January 1836. "STEEPLE HARMONY - On Monday last, in consequence of a friendly invitation from the ringers of the Old Church, in this town, a meeting of the Aston [sic], St John's Church Manchester, Oldham, and Mottram Societies of Change Ringers took place to celebrate the opening of the ten bells by the addition of two trebles....The Oldham were the next to ascend to ring a peal of Kent Treble Bob Caters consisting of 5472 changes which they rung in three hours and twenty three minutes....The parties afterwards retired to spend the evening in social harmony and good fellowship. The ringing was altogether excellent and afforded a high treat to the lovers of steeple harmony"
