This was the first peal on the bells, and it was rung at the first attempt. The ring had recently been rehung in new steel frames and a new treble added by Mr. Bowell, of Ipswich. The "go" and tone is splendid. Messrs. James and Wilkerson hail from Cambridge, the rest are members of the Royston Society. The band wish to thank the Vicar (the Rev. M. de Courcy Ireland) for the use of the bells.
