"This peal was postponed on June 28th through the indisposition of two ringers, J T Ladd, who hails from Gainsborough, kindly consenting on this occasion to take a rope at the last minute through further indisposition. Rung as a Peace Peal to celebrate the conclusion of the Great War, and to give a hearty welcome home to all the ’boys’ of Worksop who have served in His Majesty’s forces."
