CAMPANOLOGY.—On Monday, the 2nd inst., a company of the Morpeth Society of Change Ringers visited Alnwick, and by the kindness of the vicar, the Rev. J. J. M. Perry, rang several touches in Bob Minor, Grandsire Minor and Doubles; in the latter system the following members rang a peal, and the ringers were stationed as follows:— Treble, J. Nichol; 2nd, Dr. Barrow; 3rd, J. Lawson; 4th, T. Nichol; 5th, E. Atkinson; and the tenor was rung "always at home" by T. W. Atkinson; but owing to the heavy draw of the bells, the ringers were unable to accomplish more than the half peal in the Bob Minor method; 360 changes called with 9 Bobs; the time occupied being 24 minutes. The ringers were:— Treble, J. Nichol; 2nd, E. Atkinson; 3rd, J. Lawson; 4th, T. Nichol; 5th, W. P. Brown; 6th, E. Page; and the tenor by T. W. Atkinson. The above peals were called and conducted by Ed. Atkinson.
