CAMPANOLOGY.—On Wednesday evening, a company of the Wansbeck Society of Change Ringers succeeded in ringing a complete peal of Grandsire Minor, 720 changes in six parts, consisting of 38 bobs and 22 singles, the time occupied being 37 minutes. The ringers being stationed as follows:—Treble J. Watson, 2nd J. Flint, 3rd J. Lawson, 4th J. J. Nichol, 5th E. Atkinson, 6th T. W. Atkinson, and the tenor was rung behind by John Mackay. The peal was called and conducted by E. Atkinson. This is the first peal in Grandsire Minor ever rung on the town bells.
