Lest We Forget
Rung by the local band with the bells half muffled in the evening on Remembrance Sunday.
Rung in memory of all those who have lost their lives fighting for our Country in conflicts past and present, especially during the two World Wars, but especially the 12 men, boys & lady from this village who lost their lives in the Great War and did not return, all of whom are commemorated on the Village War Memorial here in Church.
We especially remember Private KENNETH DYKES, who was killed in action on 31st July 1917 aged 19. Kenneth was a ringer at this Church.
