Rung with the bells half muffled on Armistice Day in memory of the fallen.
Specially arranged and rung to mark the centenary of the unveiling and dedication of the Village War Memorial which stands in the Churchyard, and remembering all those named upon it. Today is 100 years since the village gathered around it for the first time for the Act of Remembrance.
Today’s peal was going to replicate the peal rung on 3rd April 1921 for the dedication of the War Memorial, which was a peal of Fulbeck Bob Minor rung half muffled by an entirely local company, https://bb.ringingworld.co.uk/view.php?id=1470735
However due to the plain bearings drying up on us we changed from Fulbeck into Plain Bob for the final three extents.
Also marking the centenary of the Royal British Legion.
Finally celebrating the 50th anniversary of the treble ringers first peal (27th Nov 1971). Yvonne learnt to ring at neighbouring Brant Broughton but used to attend practices each week here at Fulbeck.
