As by an old custom of the 1890s band (under the Captaincy of Charles Willshire Snr, later Captain of Holy Trinity, Guildford) https://bb.ringingworld.co.uk/view.php?id=1300381 especially arranged and rung to celebrate the Parish Harvest Festival today.
To celebrate the reinstatement and rededication of the rare bright Victorian East window, much more befitting than the plain glass which had been instated during wartime, for a church steeped in Catholic Faith & Practice (Sole Patron: Society For the Maintenance of the Faith).
Further, birthday compliments (last week) to Miss Siobhan O' Brien (best friend of the conductor) and (forthcoming) to the Tower Captain.
This is the first quarter peal on the bells since 2019, and following considerable belated annual maintenance to the installation, including replacement like-for-like rope-boss (original, 1885) on the 7th. Also first QP attempt on the new ropes fitted two weeks since.
Commemorating the passing of the 136th anniversary (in June) of the current rehang by Snelling of Sittingbourne.
Believed to be the first QP on tower bells in the Rochester District of the K.C.A., employing more than six bells, since March 16th 2020.
