Specially arranged as a tribute to Bryan Birkett BEM, tower captain of Sutton-cum-Lound for over 50 years, who passed away on 22nd March, aged 82. Bryan was the driving force behind the augmentation of these bells (by increments) from the original unringable 3 to the current pleasant octave. He was a lovely man and a tremendous character. Curiously, Rutland was his favourite method!
