Rung on the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the NHS in thanksgiving and to celebrate NHS, Social Care & Frontline Workers Day thanking them all for everything they have done during the pandemic. Also marking Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II awarding the George Cross to the NHS today in recognition of this past year.
This peal is rung to thank all NHS & Social Care staff & volunteers, all frontline workers who have worked through out the pandemic including the emergency services & teachers as well as essential workers such as shop staff, transport providers & bin collections, all to name but a few, and also the many scientists who have worked on treatments & vaccines – WE THANK YOU!
First peal on the bells since 6th March 2020 (pre pandemic).
