This peal was rung as a welcome to the Rev. H. R. Tomlinson, late Rector of Narborough, Leicester, on the eve of his institution and induction as Vicar of St. Mary's, Liscard. All the above are regular Sunday service ringers at the church, and this is the first eight bell peal to be rung in Wirral by a band all of whom are regular Sunday ringers at the same church.
