This peal was rung with half-muffled clappers as a token of deep regret to the memories of Isaac F. Winstanley and William Hughes, two members of the local band, who both recently passed away. Mr. Winstanley retired from ringing some years ago, but Mr. Hughes was able to ring until a few months before his death, and had been
a ringer at the church for forty years.
