St Martin in the Fields

On Friday, September 12th, at the Society’s meeting house, 54, St. Martin’s Lane, W.C., the election of officers for the ensuing year took place, the result being that the Master, Treasurer and Secretary are retained in their respective offices; Mr. Harry Randall becoming senior steward; and Mr. Henry W. Davies being elected as junior steward.
The same evening, the ringing for practice consisted of a half muffled peal. The usual whole pull and stand was accomplished with due solemnity, in memory of the late Mr. Robert Naunton, an old member of this society, who died in San Francisco, California, after expressing a wish for his old ringing friends to remember him ...
The above peal shows also the members’ respect to the memory of the late Rev. Henry T. Ellacombe, so well-known for his interest in ringing generally.
