On Tuesday evening, August 18th, being the practice night at St. Luke’s church, the bells were rung muffled as a tribute of respect to the late Rev. H. T . Ellacombe, M.A., of Clyst St. George, Devon, when upwards of three parts of Reeves’s 10-part peal was rung in 1 hr. 10 mins.
