On Tuesday, August 18th, at St. Nicholas’ church, on the back eight, the local company rang a date touch of 1792 Grandsire Triples, in 1 hr. 19 mins., as a mark of high esteem for the late Rev. H. T. Ellacombe, M.A., F.S.A., Rector of Clyst St. George, Devon.
