‘Old Kate’ the City’s Curfew Bell cast in 1585 tolled 11 times at 11 o’clock to mark the start the City’s 2 minutes silence at the City War Memorial during the Civic & City Act of Remembrance on Armistice Day.
Old Kate hangs in St Benedict’s Church which stands immediately behind the City War Memorial.
