Chimed Rounds and Call Changes, Diminishing Rounds and Tolling
1–2–3–4–5–6 Alan J Birney
Chimed on the Ellacombe chiming rack, the bells being currently unringable. Due to Covid restrictions, it wasn't possible for the Mytton band to meet in the tower, so the bells were chimed by one person. Bells for the funeral of Mrs Agnes Rook, who died aged 102. Agnes was very much a Mytton girl, and her father, Tom Charnock, was a Mytton ringer until his death in 1926, when Agnes was only eight years old. Agnes' father used to take her with him when he went ringing at Mytton, and she would play outside in the Churchyard. Both the Church and bells had a special place in Agnes' heart.
