Rung by some of the local band to mark the 75th anniversary of VJ Day, to celebrate and give thanks for the end of the Second World War. Also remembering all those who lost their lives during WWII, the prisoners of war and all those who answered the call to fight for King & Country - bringing us Victory, Peace and Freedom.
Remembering the three men from this parish who were killed during WWII - Leslie Walter Sewell in 1943, Edwin Cartwright in 1945, and George Smith in 1945.
This is the first ringing on the bells since before lockdown.
The ringing took place with social distancing observed and all the ringers wearing face coverings.
