Rung open in thanksgiving for the life of Dr Richard MacKay Butler who was GP at Market Weighton for 26 years and died on 13th September, aged 64.
He also held a law degree and was a founder member of the Flying Doctor Service, Ship’s Doctor in the Arctic and Antarctic, East Riding Coroner, Magistrate, ‘Birdman of Goodmanham’, Team Doctor for HKR and a Freeman of the East Riding.
