Rung to celebrate the sixteenth anniversary of the bells being dedicated and first rung as a peal of six (4th Sept 2004) after they were rehung and augmented from three to six.
Rung on the back three bells (the original three bells).
Dedicated in memory of our dear friend and local ringer / long standing village resident, Ron Applewhite who sadly passed away earlier this year on 22nd May at the grand old age of 100. Ron was heavily involved in the fund raising and the actual restore and augment of the bells as well as being a loyal and long standing member of the local band of ringers, ringing regularly here well into his 90’s.
Rung also in memory of Sue Scouller (local ringer) to whom the fourth bell (treble of the back three) is dedicated and also in memory of Molly Applewhite (Ron’s wife, both now reunited) who's birthday would have been 4th Sept.
Circled the tower (and as conductor) 53 times to quarter peals, since the bells were rehung and augmented in Sept 2004: 4-5.
The ringing took place by two members of family who live in the same household with social distancing observed and all the ringers wearing face coverings.
(No. 467) (Rung also for the Lincoln Diocesan Guild)
