One bell sounded 75 times at the end of the Service of Holy Communion, to mark VJ Day 75. Immediately before the Treble bell was sounded 75 times, The Cry for Peace was read out in Church by Churchwarden, Jane Spurgeon. Great Mytton is a hamlet, on Church Lane alone, five current households had family members fighting in Burma.
