To welcome the ECC Sparks Will Fly in Essex Champion Marina Mightier as she steps ashore the historic Halfpenny Pier at Harwich. Two hundred children, specially chosen from the Harwich Schools’ Carnival then lead Marina through the town in a grand procession to The Green. Here, Marina and her entourage performed a ceremony in celebration of their safe arrival on dry land.
