With which the Conductor celebrates his 65th birthday and, with the help of his friends achieves a 40 year ambition to call a peal of Stedman Caters: and with fragrant memories of Alf Peck, Bill Langdon, William Plaice, Harry Ranzetta, Lewis Wiffen and all the other members of the St. Mary Abbots Kensington band of the late 40s and early 50s who took him into their company and so encouraged him all those years ago.
