Rung over lunch time on the third day of the 37th annual Lincoln Christmas Market to add to the City’s festive atmosphere. (No. 3 of 7)
This quarter was being rung whilst the specially chartered visiting steam train to the Christmas Market, the LNER 4488, A4 class Pacific, No. 60009, Union of South Africa, standing in for the Duchess of Sutherland, pulling the Lindum Fayre charter, arrived at Lincoln Central Station next to St. Mary-le-Wigford’s. As it turned out this ended up being a Diesel hauled charter due to the Union of South Africa breaking down yesterday.
