On that day, George Ratcliff, father of Denise Hughes was born. Also in memory of Colour Sergeant William Frederick Howard, killed during the Battle of Jutland on 31st May 1915, and Driver James Mitchell, who died on 7th April 1920 as a result of lung disease sustained from lung poisoning, both great grandfathers of Claire Holbrook.
