Tolling

Tolling in solidarity of Notre-Dame and the people of Paris following the devastating fire on Monday evening of the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris.
The tolling took place on ‘Gabriel’ (the fifth bell cast in the late 15th early 16th century and known as the announcing bell), tolled from 5.43pm for 17 minutes up to 6.00pm marking 72 hours since the outbreak of the devastating fire on Monday evening.
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to break down, and a time to build up.” Ecclesiastes 3.
Here at All Saints Branston we know the devastation that fire causes, after All Saints was severely damaged by fire on Christmas Day 1962 but we also know that buildings can be rebuilt and brought back with time hope and faith!
