Rung by the local band prior to the special Candlelit Evensong to celebrate Candlemas.
Rung also in memory of Lord Hobart, The Right Honourable Robert Hobart, the fourth Earl of Buckinghamshire, who died on 4th February 1816.
Lord Hobart lived at Nocton Hall and owned the Nocton Estate. It was whilst he was serving as Secretary of State for War and the Colonies that the capital of Tasmania ‘Hobart’ was founded and named after the fourth Earl of Buckinghamshire Lord Hobart.
