Rung to mark the 10th anniversary this year of Langton bells being rehung and restored by the Whitechapel Bell Foundry, after being unringable for many decades.
Also marking the 224th anniversary of the birth of John Stephen Langton Esq. (8th Dec 1794). The present six bells were the gift of John Stephen Langton Esq. being cast at the Whitechapel Bell Foundry by Thomas Mears in 1825.
"WE WERE GIVEN BY JOHN STEPHEN LANGTON ESQ LORD OF THIS FREE WARREN 1825"
With special thanks to Lynda for standing in at very short notice! The band wish to associate Peter Limage with this peal - who was due to ring.
