Rung in memory of Private Frederick (Fred) Bell, Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regiment) who died on 15th November 1918 in France and was a ringer at this church. Private Bell was in the British Expeditionary Force in 1914, fought at Gallipoli in 1915, was at the Somme in 1916 and in the Ypres area in 1917 & 1918. Tragically, he was wounded on 11th November 1918, hours before the Armistice came into effect and died of his wounds four days later. He is buried at Cambrai East Military Cemetery, France.
