Rung on Armistice Day during the afternoon as part of the national ringing to mark the Centenary of the Armistice and remembering all those who were killed during the Great War 1914-1918.
We Will Remember Them!
"Ring out the thousand wars of old, Ring in the thousand years of peace."
Rung especially remembering Sergeant HERBERT INGALL who was killed in action on 16th August 1917 aged 25. Herbert was a ringer at neighbouring Timberland.
Timberland bells were chimed by the villagers (none ringers) at 7.05pm after the village beacon lighting as part of'Battle's Over'.
With thanks to the Coningsby Ringers for coming over and helping out on this busy day!
Rung also marking St Martin's Day (11th Nov).

This performance is linked to the event Ringing for the Centenary of the WWI Armistice .
