Rung by the local band on Armistice Day at 7pm, immediately following a Remembrance Concert in Church ‘A People of Peace’. Rung as people left the concert to symbolise the bells being rung 100 years ago to announce the Armistice – the end of the War.
Rung with the bells half muffled to mark the Centenary of the Armistice remembering all those who were killed during the Great War 1914-1918.
We Will Remember Them!
"Ring out the thousand wars of old, Ring in the thousand years of peace."
The ringers of 2, 3 & 4 all learnt as part of the ‘Ringing Remembers’ campaign.

This performance is linked to the event Ringing for the Centenary of the WWI Armistice.
