Lest We Forget
Specially arranged and rung by the local band on the eve of Armistice Day with the bells half muffled to mark the Centenary of the Armistice. Rung remembering all those who were killed during the Great War 1914-1918, especially the 38 men & boys from this village who did not return.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, We Will Remember Them!
Their Name Liveth For Evermore
When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us And Say, For Your Tomorrow, We Gave Our Today.
We especially remember Driver Edward Lintin who served in the Great War and survived, he was a ringer at this Church.
1380 changes specially chosen to represent the 38 Branston men who fell in the Great War.
"Ring out the thousand wars of old, Ring in the thousand years of peace."
(Rung also for the Lincoln Diocesan Guild)

This performance is linked to the events: Saint Andrew's and All Saints Society — Branston Remembers (WW1 commemorations) and Ringing for the Centenary of the WWI Armistice
