Rung open on the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice which ended World War 1 and remembering the 207 men from Penarth who gave their lives, including Battery Serjeant Major Tom Bartlett, a bell ringer at this church. Tom was killed in action on August 30th 1916, aged 38, in the Battle of the Somme and is buried at Peronne Road Cemetery in Maricourt.
